Tottenham beat Wolverhampton 1-0 on Saturday, with a goal from Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha in the 82nd minute.
Tottenham remain in contention in the Premier League, thanks to Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder scored the only goal of the match and secured all three points for the team.
For Wolves, José Sá, Toti Gomes, Mateus Mané and Rodrigo Gomes were the Portuguese starters in the line-up. Palhinha was substituted in the second half, in the 62nd minute, by Yves Bissouma.
The winning goal came following an assist from Richarlison, with Palhinha tapping the ball into the back of the net. The Portuguese player scored his sixth goal of the season.
With this victory, Tottenham pick up three points – their first of 2026 – and sit 18th in the table with 34 points.
